Pusha T Reveals a Plethora of Producers For New Album

What a year it’s been for Pusha T. As the newly appointed president of G.O.O.D Music, King Push has already delivered more content in the past few months than we saw for the long, long time Kanye West was at the helm.

As Pusha gears up for the release of his album King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude (in anticipation of his April release of King Push), the self proclaimed “Kim Jong of the crack song” has stopped by Hot 97 to detail the production wizardry that is behind the album. MetroBoomin (who featured so heavily on Drake and Future‘s What a Time to Be Alive), Timbaland and J. Cole all lend a hand to individual tracks, whilst Kanye West affiliate Hudson Mohawke and electronica stalwart Baauer round out a collective who’s who of modern production.

It’s an esteemed list, and with features from Kanye and A$AP Rocky, so it’s sage to say expectations are high. We have already witnessed three of the tracks from the upcoming release, and it’s clear that Pusha is pulling no punches in an attempt to do justice to the track listing. It takes a certain arrogance and confidence to sample Biggie Smalls himself on the first single that reaches the public ears. After all, this is the man who promised us ‘God level’ music earlier in the year.

One can only hope that this confidence oozes through the entire project, and we are left wanting even more from the “L. Ron Hubbard of the cupboard.” For now, we can count down until the new project and brace ourselves for the newly announced Sydney tour dates.
