Kanye speaks about misogyny, Caitlyn Jenner and #Ye2020 in new interview

In an extensive two-hour interview with SHOWstudio’s “In Camera” series, Kanye West talked class struggle, misogyny, his new album, Caitlyn Jenner, how to make London a better place, and, of course, his run for presidency.

The series asks questions not only from the interviewer Lou Stoppard and dedicated fans, but from a host of high profile celebrities such as fashion icons Anna Wintour and Carine Roitfeld, to the London Mayor Boris Johnson, and even ‘Ye’s wife, Kim Kardashian-West.

West talked in great depth about his design work, and how he had to overcome “me sitting here, trying my hardest, and everyone laughing at me” before his fashion exploits were recognised. He also reiterated his belief that class is holding back people even more so than race in the US, although acknowledging the prevalent race issues that he believes have stemmed from the history of slavery.

Other important and curious tidbits that were covered, included that his forthcoming album still lacks a release date, he would widen the London Streets if given the chance and his last meal would be home-cooked fried chicken. He also restated his intent to run for presidency after a fan asked why he would want to be president when he has been more influential than presidents in the past. He responded by saying that he feels he does not feel like he needs to justify everything he does, but fully intends on actually running for it.

He also expressed pride for Caitlyn Jenner while labelling himself as a humanist not a feminist, in what appears to be a trend for the famous currently after Meryl Streep said roughly the same thing.
