It’s been three years since the release of the phenomenal Acid Rap from Chicago rapper Chance The Rapper, and while April didn’t bring the release of his new mixtape as we’d hoped, we at least have the artwork.
It’s a pretty nice image. The painted aesthetic is similar to that used on Childish Gambino‘s Because The Internet mixtape, on which Chance appeared. And hey, doesn’t Chance just look so happy! He’s kind of like, “Aw they gave me a parental advisory label again, yay!” And the returning background of stars is a callback to Acid Rap, which is promising. Because ultimately, Chance was at his best on Acid Rap, and anything that is at the same level will hopefully be just as amaaaaaazing. Chance certainly seems hyped for it, with posters plastered all around various cities. He’s encouraging fans to buy posters from his website and stick them up all around their cities. And fans have been delivering!

Furthermore, there may not be that long of a wait until we can hear Chance 3 either! Chance is performing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday (5th of May), so chances are (geddit?) that we’ll hear something from the new tape there! Get excited people!
