If there is one producer that really broke through last year, it was Brisbane’s Feki. After a slew of originals and remixes (including a particularly stunning cover of James Blake‘s Retrograde), he quickly became one of the most talked about producers in the game right now, and things are looking even bigger and better for him in 2016.
He played at OutsideIn, Listen Out and EMC, and capped off the year with a performance at Beyond The Valley. Being hailed as everything from Brisbane’s answer to Ta-Ku to ushering in a new era of electronica, he hasn’t let the pressure get to him and instead opts to keep relatively quiet and working on new music. However, with each release, his name gets out there more and more, so it won’t be too long at all before everyone really catches on to what Feki is capable of.
To help that, he has now announced a little mini-tour, to give some love back to fans in Sydney, Perth and Melbourne. He will also be performing at Castaway Festival at the picturesque Bribie Island in Queensland, alongside What So Not, Golden Features and Dune Rats. Along with this announcement, he also released a little sentimental clip of his time at Beyond The Valley, which you can check out below. Giving you all the feels, it’s a brief snapshot into the man behind the beats. We’re calling it now – 2016 is Feki’s year.
