Tobias Jesso Jr pulls out of Laneway, Royal Headache to replace

Excellent and sad news for Laneway attendees: Tobias Jesso Jr has unfortunately had to pull out of his entire tour, but the triumphant Royal Headache have been added to all Australian dates!

Punk garage legends Royal Headache released their long-awaited sophomore album High this year, following on from their incredible, abrasive 2012 debut Royal Headache.

This year saw them perform the most punk-rock show ever witnessed at the Sydney Opera House, which included police and security storming the stage, so the news of their Laneway addition is pretty goddamn awesome for those who’ve never caught the Melbourne band in action.

Tobias Jesso Jr also released a gorgeous album this year, his lauded debut, Goon. Unfortunately we’ll have to wait a little while longer to hear the man in action, as he’s cited “conflicting commitments with his songwriting and recording obligations,” according to a press release. The artist has apologised to fans, saying, “I’m sorry to let anyone down, and appreciate all of your love, support, and understanding”.

Refunds for his Sydney and Melbourne sideshows are available now.
