For all those who are eagerly crossing out the days until St Jerome’s Laneway Festival, the festival just even more exciting with the announcement of some killer sideshows. Sideshows are a god-send in many ways. For those who are too poor to shell out the money for Laneway or those who miss out on tickets, sideshows are the best way to catch some of the biggest artists while they’re in the country. And for those lucky enough to be attending Laneway, it’s a chance to see your favourites up close and personal, without floppy festival drunks and creepy dudes in the mosh, standing just a little bit too close before the set starts. Plus, you can knock off a few acts before the festival even starts, helping with the tedious and inevitable timetable clashes.
