Ladies and gentleman, the Sugar Mountain lineup is here and it is totally MINDBLOWING. Boasting a carefully curated lineup with some acts that have had Australian fans desperately checking their tour dates to see when they’ll be heading Down Under (or was that just me with Hot Chip?), the 2016 festival just took out our “Lineup of the year” award like it ain’t no thing.
Hot Chip, Kelela, Julio Bashmore, Dirty Three and so many more will be descending on the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne come January 23rd next year. Le1f, soon to be renamed Viet Cong and Dām-Funk will also be there, whilst homegrown heavyweights like Courtney Barnett and Alpine will representing on the local front.
Parisian duo NONOTAK will be headlining the festival’s art lineup, returning for a second year after unleashing this for the 2015 date, as well as the man behind Sia‘s Chandelier and Elastic Heart film clips, Daniel Askill.
