With only a year left in office, you can hardly blame Barack Obama for beginning to look for future ways to sustain his family in life after the white house.
Thankfully, it appears that a career in corporate birthday song-leading is beckoning for the current POTUS, with his skills being put to the test in front of none other than R&B once-megastar Usher. Usher, clearly bemused by the experience, turns and says to the cameraman, asking “Are you getting this?” Watch below:
To be fair, it takes a fair amount of balls to show off some vocal chops to an artist who has sold over 75 million records worldwide, including a debut that went 6 times platinum.
The singer was at the White House in order to perform at an event to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the National Endowment of the Humanities.
We would think that such a major performance at the time of one’s birthday would pay more than a single cupcake on a tray. However, all was well, as Obama declared that the cupcake was “good” at the conclusion of the video.
Nice one Barack!
