Rage Against the Machine announce “Live at Finsbury Park Concert” Film

Depending on which camp you’re part of, the story of the 2009 Christmas Number 1 song in England is either one of victory or one of sore loss. Following a fan-organised campaign, Rage Against the Machine‘s 1992 Killing In The Name song reached peak position on Christmas Eve, taking the title of Christmas Number One from the hands of that year’s X-Factor winner Joe McElderry.

In the years leading up to the campaign, a pretty predictable pattern had been been established. The winner of X-Factor was generally speaking, a shoo-in for the title. 2009 disrupted that pattern with the expletive-heavy track snatching up the spot. Following the triumph, the band threw a free concert at London’s Finsbury park the following year. Now, its been announced that footage of the 2010 concert is set to be released via Eagle Rock on DVD, Blu-ray and digitally.

Live at Finsbury Park features footage of the concert, along with a bunch of bonus behind the scenes footage.
