Kevin Parker and Mark Ronson

Watch: Mark Ronson and Kevin Parker Share Video For ‘Daffodils’ & ‘Summer Breaking’

Mark Ronson and Kevin Parker from Tame Impala have released a video to accompany two of the standout tracks they created together on Ronson’s Uptown Special record last year – Daffodils and Summer Breaking.

Lyrics to both tracks were penned by novelist Michael Chabon, much to the delight of long-time fan Ronson, with the Tame Impala leader lending his voice to the dreamy melodies.

Theo Wenner directed the video, and recently told Rolling Stone, “This video is something that Mark and I have been discussing on and off for a year prior to making it. It came about in a very abstract way. We had long conversations just about colour and times of day.”

In another interview with the same magazine Ronson revealed, “Summer Breaking is probably my personal favourite on Uptown Special. And seeing as Kevin and Tame Impala are so hot right now, we thought we could really make the most of this ‘hotness’ by making a video for not one but two of his songs from Uptown Special.”

Ronson has been busy lately as at the weekend he appeared alongside Bruno Mars, Beyonce and Coldplay to perform at the Super Bowl half time show. The collective performed his massive hit Uptown Funk! In front of a massive crowd in San Francisco’s Levi stadium.

Meanwhile, Kevin Parker and his band Tame Impala released the critically acclaimed Currents mid-way through last year, and recently saw Rihanna cover their track New Person, Same Old Mistakes on her recent album Anti.
