Flume-LA-10

Watch Flume’s US Tour Recap Video

If there was ever a need to evidence the appeal of Flume, the success of his latest US stint establishes the meteoric rise of this 24-year-old Sydney producer.

While his eponymous LP won the producer a large international following in 2012, follow up Skin and lead singles including Never Be Like You and Smoke & Retribution have taken things to a fever pitch.

Nowhere is this truer than in the US where a combination of touring presence, courting of FM radio rotation and fan hype has taken Flume’s music to another level. For those further afield Harvey has dropped a brief video diary to bring fans up to speed on the happenings of his latest tour. Documenting three packed-out Seattle shows, the video also features performances from supports Mura Musa and Bonzai. But it’s not all hard work, the producer has taken time out from the grind of touring to visit museums, check out a local carnival, attend an art exhibition of his album artwork and stroll through his local surroundings.

The clip also reveals that Never Be Like You has attained platinum status. Given that platinum certification in the US means that a single has shipped over a million copies, it’s not surprising that there was some serious cause to celebrate.

Closing out the year, Flume will be returning to Australian shores this November for the final leg of his headline tour, with support from Vince Staples and SOPHIE.
