Foreign Beggars Return With Two New Songs ‘The Bits/ 100 Standard’

After nearly a decade of touring and releasing new music, the hip-hop/dub-step group Foreign Beggars decided to take a short break, but the UK collective couldn’t keep quiet for long. Last week, the group reappeared in a big way, dropping two new tracks titled The Bits and 100 Standard via their own label, Par Excellence.

The Bits comes out strong from the beginning; the ASA and Sorrow-produced track reads like a hard-hitting grime track. Foreign Beggars deliver explosive, high-tempo raps that rep their home town of London, but it’s in 100 Standard that the group really shines.

100 Standard features Ocean Wisdom and is produced by Machinedrum and Fracture. It is also the superior track of the two, as it’s lyrically insane. The production from Machinedrum and Fracture is bass heavy which leads itself to a diversity of rap styles.

Foreign Beggars are widely regarded as one of the best rap and grime groups, and nothing seems to be slowing them down. The collective is set to release a series of EPs throughout the rest of the year, including some yet to be announced collaborations. If The Bits/ 100 Standard is a measure of what they have in store, 2016 is set to be another successful year for Foreign Beggars.
