Until XXL released the list of 2015 Freshmen, I had never heard of Desiigner. Now, every morning I wake up singing “I got broads in Atlanta” loud enough to put a strain on my relationship. Panda is the catchiest song of the year, if not of the past couple of years, (with the exception of Hotline Bling) and it seems I am not the only one who thinks it. G.O.O.D. Music producer Charlie Heat has taken Panda and given it new life.
It is a big call to take on such a popular track, but what Heat has done is a true testament to his skills behind the decks. He has kept Desiigner’s original vocals intact and added a deep bass up front before switching it up and adding some synth at the back end of the track, meshing the two together with an NBA Jam reference that works well with Charlie’s last name – pure genius.
