L-Fresh The Lion has delivered some very good news this week. Not only has a brand new video been released for his political and fiery track, 1 In 100,000, but he has also announced a new album is on the way too!
Titled Become, this album serves as a prequel to its predecessor, One. It also serves as a chance for L-FRESH to confirm the reputation and critical acclaim that he received from that album, but judging by his latest single, we don’t think that will be too hard at all. L-FRESH’s label, Elefant Traks said of the album that it is “a story of navigating the complexities and tensions that come with inheriting and adopting two very different cultures. It goes beyond the surface of East meets West and dives into what is often uncharted territory. As a piece of work, it exists as a powerful and moving story that widens the scope of Australia’s cultural narrative.”
1 In 100,000 is the second single off Become, and although it was released a few weeks ago, it is still causing major waves with its powerful political focus. Now, the accompanying clip is set to only amp that up a few (many) levels. Elefant Traks described the clip as it being about “tackling depression and darkness with a stirring tale if a young Sikh warrior and her battle with those inner challenges. Wielding a sword she learns to become the best version of herself and overcome her self-doubt.”
