Kanye West Made A Video Game About His Late Mother Soaring Through Heaven

Today is the day that Kanye West shared his long awaited, highly publicised, overly hyped album, The Life Of Pablo. Three name changes, countless tracklist changes, multiple Twitter outbursts and more threatened to mar the album’s release, but by all accounts of those who were privy to the world premiere at Madison Square Garden (and countless cinemas across the world with a live stream), the album is more than worth the wait.

Playing the record through, West also took the opportunity to debut his third fashion line at the same event. With hundreds of models dressed in his newly designed threads standing in the middle, almost eerily as the album played out, it was a serious affair – until the record finished playing. From then, Ye and his friends passed the aux cord around, sharing new tracks from each other (a new Young Thug track among them). None of this is overly surprising, but what did come as a twist at the end was when Kanye announced he had *also* designed a video game.

Clearly being “the greatest rapper of all time” and a fashion mogul is not enough, West now fancies himself in the gaming industry, and has shared some cuts from Only One. Focussing on his late mother, the game takes the same title as his 2015 track, and shows his mum as an angel flying through heaven. Take a look at the preview filmed at the launch:

There has been no official word on when it will be coming, other than “soon” but knowing Kanye, it’s no doubt going to be over the top, and spectacular.
