Vinyl Pimp uncovers 24 000 vintage dance vinyls

We all have that box of old CDs that we’re saving for a nostalgic day, but usually we just forget about. When we find it, the feels are strong. But this record store has taken that to the next level.

Vinyl Pimp, in Hackney (East London) have uncovered an impressive, massive collection of vintage vinyl records. The team have released these amazing photos of boxes containing 24 000 dance vinyls, dating between 1983 and 1993. With a full decade of vinyls, the collection spans all kinds of genres – with some particularly exciting ones if you’re a musical history buff, stretching from 80’s hip hop to acid house to early Detroit techno – whatever genre you liked back then, they probably have it.

According to The Vinyl Factory, most of the vinyls have been sent to the Vinyl Pimp’s Hackney Wick warehouse ready for eager dance enthusiasts to fight over the best ones. Looks like Record Store Day 2.0 is coming up soon!
