In a remarkable display of core muscle strength, balance, dexterous fingers and excellent eye-hand coordination, Dutch punk singer David Achter de Molen has made festival history by catching a beer mid-air as he stands astride on a crowd of thousands of punters.
The lead singer of the band John Coffey, (named after a character from the American book and film The Green Mile) pulled off the impressive feat over the weekend at the Pinkpop Fest held in the Dutch city of Landgraaf. While taking a quick breather between performances to casually stroll across the crowd (literally across the crowd), a punter launched a beer at de Molen.
De Molen, without missing a beat, plucked the beer from the air like a snitch during a Quidditch tournament. He then knocks it back before throwing the cup away. He’s so nonchalant about, it’s like he does this at every festival.
