Radiohead Just Dropped Another Song Teaser

Radiohead are back at it again. Earlier this week, after deleting themselves entirely from the internet, they returned with two mysterious animated videos. Shortly after, a video clip and the first new song from their upcoming album, titled Burn The Witchwas released.

Now they’ve released another short video on social media, this time of a long-haired Thom Yorke walking through what looks like a bright, deserted car park. Yorke, his plain beige attire and pristine white surroundings have a really creepy otherworldly purity to them. Add that to the obscure electronic soundtrack and you have all the makings of one eerie new Radiohead release. Or you know, maybe he’s just looking for his car. (It also reminds me of that scene in that Jim Carrey film with Morgan Freeman playing god.)

Considering their release method earlier this week, it’s likely that yet another song will be coming out in within the next few hours.

Both the clip and song are remarkably different, almost totally opposing, to both the animated video and the melodic instrumentation of Burn The Witch. The stark, scruffy realism and the ambient, experimental electronic soundscape will no doubt delight fans who are hoping that their new album will follow in the footsteps of their last full-length record, 2011’s King of Limbs.

Considering today has already seen album releases from James Blake, Kaytranada and Skepta, not to mention new (if average) Justin Timberlake, I thin we can all agree that May 6 2016 has been one HELL of a day for new music.
