Rap/electro/trance-core fans rejoice!
England’s trendiest metalheads Enter Shikari have today announced that they are returning to Australia for a string of dates around the ENTIRE country (looking at you WA).
The band burst onto the scene with their 2007 debut Taking To The Skies and have been pissing off heavy music blogs and fans alike with their fusion of EDM and metalcore ever since, with their last offering appearing in the form of 2014’s glitchy The Mindsweep LP.
The Mindsweep is correctly hailed as the bands most diverse record to date, jumping between electro-pop breaks, crushing breakdowns and synthy interludes overflowing with ambiance.
Having received maximum ratings from both Alternative Press and Kerrang, the album established Enter Shikari internationally, resulting in sold out shows across the country when the band last graced our shores in 2015.
Fellow UK rapcore pioneers Hacktivist be joining the lineup, bringing their aggressive combination of grime and hardcore to the stage.
Since appearing as part of the now deceased Soundwave Festival in 2014, the group have dropped their debut album Outside The Box which features a cameo by Enter Shikari front-man Rou Reynolds, so expect plenty of guesties throughout the tour.
Sydney locals Stories will round out the diverse bill which leaves no room for heavy elitism.
