Snoop Dogg Is Apparently Working On A New Album

Snoop Dogg is apparently back in the studio, recording a new follow up to his 2015 album, Bush, if his Twitter account is to be believed. The 44-year-old OG rapper posted an Instagram video which he took himself, in which he records Just Blaze making some solid g-funk beats, exclaiming that, “motherfuckin’ Just Blaze is cooking right now.”

Just Blaze also tweeted that the studio session had him feeling like it was 2001, no doubt referencing the year which was one of the greatest highlights of his career, in which he produced Beanie Sigel’s The Reason, as well as a solid chunk of Jay Z’s The Blueprint and Busta Rhymes’s Genesis. Needless to say 2001 was a good year for Just Blaze.

Several hours after the initial social media posts, Snoop again took to Instagram to throw up a photo of him and Nipsey Hussle, with the caption, “Crippen cuzzinz cuzzz.”

Although it’s currently unknown what the title of the new album will be, if it truly is being released in July as Snoop said in the Instagram post, then we should be getting more information about it soon, as well as possibly some new singles.

The last time Just Blaze produced a Snoop song was Lollipop, off the Paid tha Cost to Be da Bo$$ album, which was…pretty average, but judging from what we heard of the beat from the video Snoop posted, this new joint sounds significantly better.
