MOUNT KIMBIE

LISTEN: Mount Kimbie Drop New Track “Jupiter”

If you’re in the mood for some Tuesday ambience, you have come to the right place.

UK electronic duo Mount Kimbie have released a new track called Jupiter, and it’s every bit as chill and vibey as we hoped it would be.

Worth noting is the fact that the song was put together with a bunch of different samples that the band had lying around in the Converse Rubber Tracks Sound Library.

Opening with a tight percussive groove and soulful keys, the song descends into a celestial journey of dreamy sounds and colours, before softly fading away with the same tenderness as the opening. Have a listen below.

Jupiter is the first we have heard from the them since they released their incredible collaboration with James Blake last year, which was previously never going to see the light of day.

Aside from that exclusive, the last full release we had from Mount Kimbie was in the form of 2013’s wonderful Cold Spring Fault Less Youth LP.

With this taste of new music, and a string a club appearances throughout Europe over the next few months, our fingers are tightly crossed for a new release soon.

However, if three years is the amount of time in the studio they need to release songs of the quality of Jupiter, they can take all the time in the world.
