Puddle of Mudd Frontman Arrested After Breaking Into Former Home

2015 was a tumultuous year for Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin.

In January, Wes was briefly arrested for taking a joyride on a Denver airport’s baggage carousel. In July, the rocker again ran afoul of the law, leading Minnesota police on a prolonged car chase with a blood alcohol level four times over the legal limit. Defying expectations, Wes was again arrested a third time for driving under the influence in Dakota, and a fourth time for marijuana possession in Beverly Hills.

Unfortunately it seems that amidst all of 2015’s misadventures, the volatile frontman also lost his LA home due to foreclosure.

No doubt seeking retribution, the rocker and two associates forced their way into the former homestead, using a hatchet to smash windows, audio electronics and the home surveillance system. But the escapade was short lived. After triggering the home security system they had sought to disable, authorities were alerted and the posse were quickly arrested. Video footage from TMZ depicts frontman handcuffed and yelling “it’s my house man.”

Scantlin has been released after putting up a hefty bail of $20,000 US.

It’s not the first time Scantlin has been arrested for vandalism. In 2014, Wes employed a chainsaw in an attempt to destroy neighbour Sasha Gradiva‘s deck as a result of a long running feud with the local musician.

Rising to prominence after their discovery by Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst, Puddle of Mudd released last album re:(disc)overed in 2011.
