As I’m sure many of you would agree, many a late night/early morning has been spent watching classic video clip TV show RAGE. While music television isn’t quite what it used to be, RAGE has managed to stand the test of time. Perfect for people like me who move as little as humanly possible on Saturdays, we’ve just heard some GREAT news: The ABC staple is reinstating a top 20 countdown!
Back in 2006, many fans were upset by the removal of the ‘top 50′ format, opting instead for a free-form show. Almost ten years later, new segment “The Chart” is set to debut this Saturday from 6-8am, counting down the top 20 ARIA single videos. And for the late risers out there, it’ll be replayed on ABC3 at 9:30 pm on Sundays.
According to the official website, “Long-time Ragers will remember when early Saturday mornings were spent in their pyjamas glued to their screens as they counted down the Top Fifty. Since 2006, however, we have played these popular videos in freeform. With Rage reviving The Chart get ready to be glued to your screens once more.”
“The segment will also include chart predictions and appearances from some of the most popular acts of today.”
