Sunflower Bean are no longer New York’s best kept secret. Fresh out of school, the young band has just dropped their debut album Human Ceremony. Laden with dreamy melodies, dark hooks and all the fuzz you could ever need, the album is an exhibition in the fusion of song writing and atmospherics. We took the time to chat to bassist and singer Julia Cumming on how it’s felt releasing a full length and touring full-time.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xykuu_pVZak
Where am I catching you guys?
We are in New Jersey right now. We are just finishing off the East Coast leg of our tour and enjoying a few days off before we head of South and go around the rest of the country. We are on tour but we are having a little breather.
What do you get up to in your off time on tour?
Just seeing family and running errands really. We don’t have heaps of time to hang out. More just keeping things chilled but moving.
When the band was getting started in high school, did you anticipate that things would grow this fast to the point that you are on the road straight out of school?
It’s funny because a few things happened fast, but we had been jamming in different bands for a while. I had been playing around since I was 13 and the boys since they were like 14, so we have been doing this kind of thing for a while now. We’ve played a tonne in our city and all, so we all had our hearts fully in it, and as soon as I graduated we started doing it full-time. It’s definitely gone up in intensity these past few months in the lead up to the album, but it’s exciting and feels amazing in a lot of ways.
What made this band work out more than your previous projects for each of you?
I think that it just takes time to develop and figure out what you want to do with your skills. It did take us a while to come to this, but we knew what it was that we wanted to do. I think a lot of problems with bands that people have are to do with egos and people being overly intense and stuff- we had kind of already been through all of that. So it was cool to come together and know how to keep the relationships good.
I saw that in 2014 you clocked up around 50 hometown gigs alone. How did you not get bored with playing the same material while building a fan base over that period?
We practised five times a week as well! We would always try to introduce new material while we worked stuff out, and basically we just loved to play. We developed a very strong identity onstage and with each other, and got really lucky because the guys who booked the venues in Brooklyn really liked us, and they would have us open shows that would sell out because we became a kind of house band around the place. That also really helped us develop as musicians, and I’m really thankful for that. We didn’t really know that we were clocking up so many shows! We just thought we were doing what we should do, but we definitely over-played a little bit. But now that we are a touring band, we get to play to new crowds of people every night.
How has the band held up doing shows all through the week as oppose to just weekends?
It’s hard, but it’s really good. I do find that I get really tired, but it’s a dream for us, and we do enjoy playing live. We have dates booked up until October which is a little daunting when we think about it, but if we just take it one day at a time it’s very nomadic. You wake up, you drive, you eat, you play the show, you sleep and you repeat. It’s a weird job but it’s great!
How do you think it’s you grow as a musician this past year?
A lot to be honest. I grew mainly when we went into the studio to produce the record because it was the defining thing for how the songs were gonna come alive. We found that we really had to know how we were gonna record our song because that is where the song will live forever. I think it was important for us to learn how to do that, and it’s made me really excited for when we do the next record, and the process that will be involved with doing that.
So you’re already thinking about the next record?
There’s one song in our current set that’s new that we haven’t recorded that will probably be on the next record, and we have three or four other songs in the works, but we haven’t had much time to work on them because we haven’t been home. However, I think in April when we are home we will have time to sit down and figure them out.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RplDJ08s8Y
How was putting out an album in real life different to what you imagined?
It was just really exciting because an album is an album, and we wanted it to sound concise and like a dynamic piece of work. We didn’t anticipate all the press, especially in the digital world. There are so many apps and things you have to adapt to. But we now know that’s just part of it. For the most part it’s been good because more people have faith in the music, and we have been able to travel and it’s been really great overall. It’s very different from just having an EP. It feels like we are a real band and not just a high school band.
You guys were on the red carpet at the NME awards recently. Was it strange being in that environment?
That was our second time doing a red carpet event, and it was very surreal. I hope it gets easier…if we are ever again in that situation. I think just doing what we do, we don’t have to worry because we are outside the mainstream, and we always come back to the merch table after the set and talk to the kids that have come to see us, and we are all kind of the same person. It’s really nice to keep that environment going to be able to meet and talk to people, and ask how they feel about our music and stuff. I think we try to keep it in mind to be down to earth and sometimes you play an amazing show to 600 people, and the next night you could play at a college and nobody shows up. It’s just up and down all the time, which is crazy.
I know you met each other through that Brooklyn underground scene. Now that you have started touring around both America and the world, have you noticed anything that makes the New York scene stand out?
I think it’s where you go to follow your American dream. There is just so much happening there. It has a very intense feel to it, and that creates intense people who move at a very fast pace. It’s a great place to get stuff done, but it’s very expensive to create art, so you have to think outside the box of how you are going to find spaces to create what you want to do.

It’s video roundup time! Once again, Howl And Echoes are coming in hot with the freshest, most eyeball stimulating music videos to be dropped by the artists you love and some of the artists you don’t know you love yet, of this week. We do all the dirty work and herd them all into one convenient web-based location for you to enjoy every Friday so that you don’t have to. Have yourself a good old gander at the latest offerings from:
Dear Plastic – Zero
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1duzFJa78Fo&feature=youtu.be
Here with the debut single from their forthcoming EP Heaven Machine are Melbourne five-piece pop experimentalists Dear Plastic, whose video for Zero is a visual delight. The track is killer, a sweet little slice of electro-pop full of cosmically warped synths and ethereal vocals from Scarlette Baccini that all of a sudden turns it up to 11 for the chorus, those dreamy lullaby vocals all of a sudden transitioning to shrieks, the synths adopting a somber and almost funereal tone. It was enough to have me go bolt upright in my chair.
The video is a fantastic trip, a moving portrait directed by Leigh Young and featuring artwork from Nadia Toukshati. Pastel colours and shapes kaleidoscope their way across some frankly unsettling close-ups of the band, really complementing the sound and atmosphere created, I was hooked instantaneously.
Look for Heaven Machine to arrive later on this year.
Gypsy And The Cat – Inside Your Mind
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_QUQ1Kj_Xw&feature=youtu.be
Sticking in Melbourne for this next one from duo Gypsy And The Cat, the first taste of their upcoming album due this year. Inside Your Mind is the name, the sparkling acoustic guitars blending magnificently with breezy synths and some cloud-soft percussion, this is some of the easiest listening you’ll ever do.
The video was shot in Tokyo and features the duo in cat-catcher mode, going full cartoon donning jumpsuits and carrying oversize nets around as they search for a terrifying creature with the body of a slacker and the head of a cat (the famous cat head of Housetu Sato no less). Cat lovers will go ape for this, I find that head remarkably unsettling though. Nonetheless a clever video.
Catch Gypsy And The Cat on their Inside Your Mind tour of Australia when it kicks off next week.
ANOHNI – Drone Bomb Me
ANOHNI is a name you may recognise as being behind the vocals of Antony And The Johnsons. She has a new album HOPELESSNESS on the way, a joint collaboration between herself, Oneohtrix Point Never and Hudson Mohawke, so you already know production is going to be galactically good. To mark the occasion she’s released the first single and video today for the politically-charged Drone Bomb Me.
Haunting, almost operatic vocals tell the bonechilling story of a young girl whose family have been killed in drone attacks. It’s absolutely heartbreaking and the delivery by ANOHNI is full of emotion. The video features supermodel Naomi Campbell clad in camouflage and seated in a dimly-lit room. Shots of her openly weeping are interspersed with frenetic dancing and create an entirely jarring experience that warrants multiple views and listens.
HOPELESSNESS is out May 6th via Rough Trade/Remote Control Records.
Cosmic Rays – Teen Bank Robbers On Heroin
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bp5kU0_SOP4&feature=youtu.be
This single from ScotDrakula side project Cosmic Rays hands down wins the belt for best song title this week. Teenage Bank Robbers On Heroin is the latest single from Australian by way of Canada Matthew Neumann; the mastermind behind both ScotDrakula and Cosmic Rays. This latest single is taken from the latter’s debut EP Yeah, Cool that was released last year. Dark and atmospheric with downtuned vocals and an uncompromising rhythm section (featuring a bassline that just wants to drill its way into your skull) that finds itself offset by some positively bright and gleaming synths. It’s altogether an intoxicating sound.
The music video was entirely self-produced and follows the exploits of a Melbourne suburbs Bonnie and Clyde of sorts, featuring mini-heists and many intense staring contests between the two. For the cost of $70, Neumann has created a great visual story to go with a cracker track.
There’s a new ScotDrakula record inbound but you can check out Yeah, Cool for now out on Future Popes.
Sunflower Bean – Easier Said
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xykuu_pVZak&feature=youtu.be
The first international act on this week’s list are Sunflower Bean all the way from New York City. Their latest single Easier Said comes from their just released debut album Human Ceremony. Clean and spritely guitars are the order of the day here, accompanying some gorgeously lilting vocals from frontwoman Julia Cummings.
The video is filmed in what looks like a gloomy stretch of upstate New York in late Fall, grey skies and leafless trees scattered across the landscape. Cummings is the focal point, taking a dirtbike ride in a gold jumpsuit and blue angel wings before the rest of the band join her for a casual jam by a roaring fire.
Human Ceremony is out now on Fat Possum via Inertia.
Bugs – When I Know
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5rXXebQWPg
I caught Brisbane duo Bugs when they played the Mountain Goat Valley Pub Crawl just a couple of weeks ago and was thoroughly blown away. Be it their stellar punk and roll covers of Cher’s Believe or the Hoodoo Gurus’ What’s My Scene to their own pop-punk infused tunes that had the crowd bouncing off the walls. The riffs were heavy and the lyrics honest and with that Aussie-accented twang that adds just that little extra flavour they were a highlight of the night.
When I Know is their latest single, released this week with an accompanying video. Sharp and punchy and with lo-fi guitars that jangle and fuzz, the soaring hook of the chorus will lodge itself in your head for ages and lay eggs there that demand you listen to more. The video is a rainbow-splattered, bedroom-quality collage of different shots of the duo singing and playing.
Catch Bugs launching When I Know in Byron Bay and Brisbane in the next couple of weeks. They are a fuck-ton of fun.
King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard – Gamma Knife
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=4&v=nC7ii3Ir-no
Experimental noisemakers King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard are one of the most productive bands in Australia and they are on a roll. They’re just over a month out from releasing another album, Nonagon Infinity, and this week they’ve released a new single and video: Gamma Knife.
Working in a cancer clinic that’s just installed an actual Gamma Knife machine and knowing how cool it is (seriously, read about what they can do), I was expecting laser-sharp riffs and a warped out cosmic vibe from the track going into it and that’s exactly what I was delivered. The song is just a whirlwind of speed and sound and is the type of song that will have crowds losing their ever-loving shit live (the extended drum solo is utterly fantastic and harkens back to late-70s prog so nicely)
The video is what you would call wacky, the band playing in a circle in a sun-dappled field. It’s 360 degrees of King Gizz, the camera rotating around each member, all clad in black robes and faces painted. Multicoloured warlock looking dudes soon join the circle before the entire thing ends with everyone lying motionless beside a gigantic egg. Like the drum solo, it’s a very prog-rock affair and it just rules.
Nonagon Infinity is out April 29 via ATO.
Young Thug – My People (ft. Duke)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObXGRPNzX60
Summer vibes abound in the latest single and video from Young Thug. My People comes from his recently released mixtape I’m Up. It features Duke and is a sweltering hot track full of island rhythms, Young Thug spitting fire across all of it.
The video features Thugger leading a band of black clad militants in ski masks. They stand resolutely on a bridge, fists to the sky, as Young Thug raps around them. Striking visuals that contrast with the party feel of the song but an excellent clip all the same.
Look out for Young Thug keeping productivity sky high. Having just dropped I’m Up, he’ll be releasing his debut LP Hy!£UN35 to kick off May and arguably having an even bigger year than he had in 2015.
(Image via Rip It Up)
Happy 2016, Howl readers! Thanks for staying with us! To treat you for making it through the first week of the new year, we’ve once again kept an eye on the music that has come out this week and have narrowed it down to the very best songs you need in and around your ear drums right now.
Smerz, Because
Copehagen female producer duo Smerz kicked off the year in style with this club-ready banger. Bass heavy and super sassy, it features vocals a la Little Dragon and a slick finish that is synonymous with the European club scene. This one will have you grooving almost instantly!
Rosie Lowe, Woman
It’s just over a month until we finally get to hear Rosie Lowe’s debut album, Control, and whilst we were already excited for that to drop, our anticipation levels have been kicked into overdrive after hearing this gem. Inspirational, vulnerable, exposing and just so damn enjoyable, Woman is one of Lowe’s best songs yet and has us practically counting down the days until her February 19 release date!
Sunflower Bean, Easier Said
Speaking of new albums, Sunflower Bean are just weeks away from releasing their debut album, Human Ceremony (February 5th). Dreamy rock’n’roll at it’s finest, this trio are quickly becoming one of our favourites and it’s tracks like Easier Said that reaffirm our growing love for them.
Bon Voyage, Don’t Tread On Me
Bon Voyage first came on our radar when he released Booshie – a badass track that had us hooked instantly. Now he’s back with Don’t Tread On Me, and it seems he’s continuing this trend of grabbing our attention within seconds. This track is a total earworm that won’t leave your head for days, but it’s just so much fun, we don’t really mind!
Editors, Ocean of Night (Henri PFR Remix)
Although I wouldn’t initially think a piano house remix would be well suited for an Editors song, I am more than prepared to eat my words after hearing this song. This pulsing floor filler combines the unique, soulful vocals of Editors’ frontman Tom Smith with deep house flourishes and a classic house synth line to make an explosive, near euphoric remix. You may be a little apprehensive if you’re an Editors fan, but you will also be pleasantly surprised.
Oisima, Grovers Lament ft. Adam Page
We are huge fans of Oisima here at Howl & Echoes, so any new material from his is fine by us. Taken from his stellar album Nicaragua Nights, Grovers Lament is an exotic breath of fresh in a sometimes stale climate when it comes to Australian electronic music. Featuring the seductive saxophone, intricate drum patterns, soulful vocal cuts and tremendous production, Grovers Lament is one of the many highlights on Nicaragua Nights.
Cosmo’s Midnight, Falling Out (ft Lido)
Having just announced a nationwide tour, electro-dance duo Cosmo’s Midnight aren’t wasting any time making sure everyone is as keen as they possibly can be for their new set of shows, and have released their latest single. This time teaming up with prolific beatmaker Lido, the Cosmo’s boys have stepped up more than a few notches here, and they sound all the better for it!
Trudy, Baby I’m Blue
For fans of bands like The Black Keys or The Rubens, Trudy’s new song Baby I’m Blue is definitely the track for you. Rhyming aside, this is good ol’ rock’n’roll at it’s best, but with a certain alternative flair that makes it just that little bit more interesting and takes it to another level. It could be the clunky drums, the staggering riff, the unique vocals or a combination of all three, but something’s got us hooked and we’re totally okay with it.
Raleigh Ritchie, Keep It Simple (ft Stormzy)
Raleigh Ritchie, as in the guy from Game Of Thrones, has a new album on the way and we couldn’t be more excited. Not only is he a popular favourite on GoT, but he’s also quite the talented musician, and his latest release may just be our favourite of all. Teaming up with grime MC Stormzy, the pair work so well together over a bed of warm synths and steady drums. This song is a total jam.
Sunflower Bean – Wall Watcher
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RplDJ08s8Y
A short sharp one to kick things off, with a rapid-fire garage noise cut from Brooklyn trio Sunflower Bean in Wall Watcher. Shot in Tarantino-esque grainy fashion and using techniques like stop motion to accentuate the jackhammer, Black Sabbath-y style guitars of the song, which juxtapose incredibly nicely with frontwoman Julia’s honey-sweet vocals. She spends the clip having her face smeared in lipstick and shooting paintballs at a mirror on a wall full of clocks, so make of that what you will, either way, clip and song are fun as all fuck.
Their debut LP Human Ceremony is on its way February 5th next year, the hype looks very very real.
Elliphant – North Star (Bloody Christmas)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuFLJWJ0_2I
‘Tis the season and all of that, and right around the time everyone’s ears are assaulted by Christmas carols of the worst and jingliest variety. Railing against that though is Swedish singer-songwriter Elliphant, who is celebrating the silly season by releasing a Christmas carol and an accompanying video of her own, the fantastically-monikered North Star (Bloody Christmas).
A haunting piano melody and a sweetly sung chorus that goes ‘Bloody Christmas/Fucking Christmas’? A music video featuring a debaucherous solo night on the town with karaoke, seedy cab rides and walking a length of tinsel around the street? I may have found one of my most kindred spirits here in Elliphant, maybe the best Christmas carol you’ll hear all season!
BLØSH – Give It Away
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gb5sVYgDc1Q&feature=youtu.be
Sticking in Scandinavia for this next one, although this time just down the road in picturesque Oslo, is the latest single from electro-pop twosome BLØSH, Give It Away. It follows up the wildly successful release of their debut single Can’t Afford To Lose You and debut EP Keep Your Tongue.
It’s a fun and funky little three minute slice of goodness, full of bright and jangly guitars and the gorgeous reverberating vocals of frontlady Teresa. The clip is a vibrant look at the vastly different day-to-day lives of three different fans of the group. Pastel colours are splashed everywhere in this throwback 80s video that complements their cheery sound perfectly.
Halcyon Drive – Reset
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRL4tF0Hryo&feature=youtu.be
Melbourne trio Halcyon Drive follow the daily adventures of Rocko’s Wake Up Services in the video for their brand new single Reset. Rocko, if you’re wondering, is a costumed monkey who runs around (sometimes on a hoverboard) waking people up in different and inventive ways for $20 a pop. Of course he sometimes uses cymbals. Unfortunately business falters and competitors swoop in like vultures, leading to all kinds of monkey debauchery and fisticuffs. It’s a cool little story to go along with a relentlessly hard rocking track.
B Wise – Lately
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTMNIpFNaCY&feature=youtu.be
Having just arrived home and hosed from supporting American rap juggernaut Yelawolf on his Love Story tour around Australia as well as taking out the Unearthed competition for a slot at Listen Out , Sydney MC B Wise this week dropped the follow-up to his much hyped first single Prince Akeem with a video to boot. An eclectic melody and some wicked trap beats behind him, B Wise lays down his rhymes with the aplomb you would expect of someone with this many accolades this early. The clip follows him around the streets of his hometown Sydney, eventually ending spectacularly by the sea at sunset.
Catch B Wise for the last time before he heads into what should be an even bigger 2016 on Boxing Day at Sydney’s Soul In The Square.
Pusha T – Crutches, Crosses, Caskets
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crCFDQyfORM
King Push, President Pusha, whatever title you want to give one of the hottest young rappers in the game, is keeping the singles flowing thick and fast in the lead up to his next album King Push – Darkest Before The Dawn: The Prelude. This week he’s let loose the video for his latest single, the Puff Daddy-helmed Crutches, Crosses, Caskets.
The video above is as eery and creepy as the song’s title, following Pusha T as he rides the merry-go-round from hell featuring smoking nuns, horses wearing gas masks and dingy lighting. The backbeat showcases some silky smooth laidback production from Puff, meshing explosively with Pusha’s measured yet uncompromising delivery. Just kick back and enjoy King Push’s coronation as this album drops today.
Wavves – My Head Hurts
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0Guf94FQEs&feature=youtu.be
And finally we have the brand new video from San Diego legends Wavves for their supercharged surf punk single My Head Hurts, a track that has torn apart the airwaves since it landed back in August. The clip is a frenetic video tour diary from their recent Northern Hemisphere jaunt in support of their outstanding latest album V. It is the absolute perfect trailer to get you amped up to 11 for the boys upcoming tour of Australia, including stops at all three locations for the New Year’s Falls Festival as well as their own headlining sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne.
Your head is going to hurt if you somehow miss this, of that I’m sure.
The phrase “Thank God It’s Friday” could be said in regards to finishing the working week, but it could also be said because Fridays also mean one thing: Best Songs Of The Week day! Once again, we’ve pulled together the ten best songs released this week for your convenience. From indie electro pop, to hip-hop, all the way through to some scuzzy garage bands and 70’s psychedelia, these are the ten best songs from this week you need to hear right NOW!
Grandsister, Headlights (Ft. Sarah Belkner)
Indie electro pop doesn’t get all the credit it should, but there is no denying that this track, a collaborative effort between Grandsister and Sarah Belkner, is a seriously good song. For fans of Digitalism, Robyn, Royskopp or even New Order, this twinkling, pulsing, propulsive track is as fun and explosive as they come. See! Indie electro pop isn’t so bad after all!
MANTRA, Nowhere To Go (Ft. E-Swift and J-Ro of The Alkaholiks)
It’s been a while since we heard from rapper MANTRA, but with the release of Nowhere To Go, it’s clear he’s been busy working hard on his sound and making the wait so very worth it. Throwing back to traditional hip-hop sounds from the old guard, but keeping it fresh with modern flair, MANTRA has teamed up with E-Swift and J-Ro of The Alkaholiks to deliver this upbeat but chilled jam that will get your head moving within seconds of listening. Welcome back, MANTRA!
Sunflower Bean, Wall Watcher
Brooklyn based trio Sunflower Bean have released Wall Watcher ahead of their debut album out next year, and it is an absolute belter. Scuzzy guitar rock at it’s best, this band uses fun harmonies to keep it light whilst the fuzzy riffs plunge it well and truly into grunge territory. That hook has been in my head for a few days now, and I don’t see it leaving any time soon.
GUNNS, She’s A Rainbow
Spinning Top’s newest treasures GUNNS have released She’s A Rainbow in all it’s sparkly, psychedelic glory. It’s the first taste from their debut EP out next year, and it’s an exciting first taste indeed. Dripping in nostalgia, this kaleidoscopic track is an impressive follow-up from the band’s stellar track The Fool released last year (sitting on a casual 94K SoundCloud plays…), and makes us really eager to see what else they’ve got in store for us!
Lastlings, Chills
This song is absolutely stunning. Serene vocals ring out over a shifting, pulsing bed of electronica, with some intricate flourishes here and there to draw you in even further. Really capitalising on the name of the track, this latest release from Lastlings would make for a perfect summer soundtrack. Sounding a little like ODESZA in the best way possible, these guys are really onto something here.
Radiation City, Juicy
If you’re a fan of bands like Dum Dum Girls, let us introduce you to the sounds of Radiation City – a quintet from Portland that have recently undergone a makeover of sorts. However, change is always a good thing and now we have Juicy to prove it. This song is huge; commanding riffs, dynamic and attention grabbing vocals and a beat that almost makes it feel like you’re in slow motion for a second. They’re set to release a new LP next year, and if it sounds anything like this – sign us up!
COVERS, Strange Bird
Melbourne band COVERS wrote Strange Bird to deal with their “inability to be content with anything comfortable or mundane,” which is fitting considering this song is neither of those things. Grand, dramatic, and thunderous, COVERS aren’t holding back here and have created a soaring track that would be incredible to see live. Marking their return to the scene, the band have clearly been hard at work honing their sound, and this new direction couldn’t sound better.
Flamingo Jones, Fred Bear
This is the third single off Flamingo Jones’ EP, Wet Sounds, but it’s definitely our favourite so far. Once again showing off his self-described “Nature Beat” sounds, Fred Bear is exactly the type of song you need to transport you away from whatever mundane task you’re currently doing to an island party sipping margaritas in a grass skirt. No? Just us? Either way, Flamingo Jones is quickly becoming one of our favourite local acts. Sounding like Animal Collective at a luau, we have been converted to “nature beat” fans, and it won’t be long before the rest of the country follows suit.
Romy, Wild Heart
She’s being heralded as Australia’s answer to Tinashe, and from just one listen to Wild Heart, that’s not far off. Futuristic in the production courtesy of local Brisbane producer James Angus and soulful in her RnB stylings, Romy is seriously one to watch. Heavy 808s, splashy hi hats and commanding vocals are a surefire recipe for a hit, something tells us Romy is just getting started.
Vera Blue, Hold
It can be a scary experience, releasing your debut single. However, Sydney newcomer Vera Blue is positively fearless with this track. Releasing the video and track for Hold at the same time, Vera Blue is messing around. She’s ready, and you only need one listen to her song to realise this. Lush synths swirl as her beautiful voice soars, pierced by intermittent thuds, all the while complimented by simplistic and stunning visuals with artistic effects to give it some extra depth. Really, really beautiful, and really, really promising.
