The festive season is upon us and Grammy-nominated rapper 2 Chainz has continued with his generous Christmas spirit.
Real name Tauheed Epps, he returned to his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, fresh from his donation to a disabled war veteran, for whom he bought furniture and paid for a year’s rent.
This time he has donated a minivan to a family whose house tragically burned down and left their son needing regular hospital treatment after he suffered brain damage. The incident occurred in September, and left youngest child Antonio Jones needing constant physical therapy.
2 Chainz again documented the scene which he later posted to his YouTube page. In it he explains how he came across their unfortunate circumstances and how he wanted to help them through the struggle. “You all’s story, it affected a lot of people,” the rapper told the overwhelmed family.

The proceeds were raised by 2 Chainz’s now famed ‘Dabbing Santa’ Ugly Christmas sweaters, which you can see him proudly wearing in the video above.
The generous acts that 2 Chainz is now regularly doing in his hometown area are carried out through the money raised by his T.R.U Foundation charity. The non-profit organisation was founded in 2013 and centres on fighting poverty and domestic violence in the Atlanta area.
2 Chainz’ ‘Twelve days of Christmas’ style charity work shows no signs of ending yet. To help support the cause and grab yourself a funky Christmas sweater that will be perfect for the Australian summer head on over to his website.
Super producer Timbaland has announced a new mixtape entitled King Stays King which is scheduled to drop on Christmas Day.
Timbaland has been quiet recently, which he has attributed to his extensive work on the new release. Talking to Rap-Up he explained, “I’ve spent a lot of time working on this project and I am just looking forward to giving my fans some dope sounds to close out the year.”
The 16-track tape features a seemingly endless list of collaborators ranging from Young Thug to the late Aaliyah, whom Timbaland recently mentioned he had never-before-heard material from. Details on the track with the former R&B superstar are scarce, except that it is a previously unreleased track from the vaults.
Timbaland is currently working on two videos to accompany the mixtape’s release. The two tracks Get No Betta and Servin are sure to be the first taste we get, before the full mixtape is released alongside all the turkey and alcohol you can handle on Christmas Day.
The announced release comes somewhat as a surprise after the continually teased Textbook Timbo has still yet to see the light of day. Earlier this year Timbaland even went as far as to release a single from the album called Them Jeans, the track featured trap trio Migos alongside the producer/rapper.
Here’s hoping that Timbaland returns to the top of his game with some more classic R&B infused hip-hop.
