Raekwon Drops New Track “This Is What It Comes Too”

Wu-Tang legend Raekwon has dropped a new single titled This Is What It Comes Too [and before we go any further, yes, it’s Too not To, that is not an error on my part.]

The track was produced by Xtreme and is taken from his forthcoming seventh solo album The Wild, and it is magnificent. His peerless flow and elasticated dexterity is the perfect match to the song’s swift, driving beat, while his husky, dynamic tone of voice continues to dominate as one of the most engaging in the game.

Speaking to Billboard about the project, he said, “Hip hop in its purest form is being reinstated,” before noting that he’s dropped the track to satiate hungry fans: “You needed a taste, you needed the seasoning; relax, the Chef is here to serve you!”

On the track, he explained that This Is What It Comes Too is “a record with sonic driven energy and offers a remembrance of what music used to be and why hip-hop is the most exciting genre in music.”

Raekwon’s new album The Wild comes out on March 24, following on from 2015’s Fly International Luxurious Art.
