Neurosis Are Touring Australia Next Week

Following the release of their thunderous 2016 album Fires Within Fires, experimental post metal legends Neurosis are finally touching down in Australia next week for a tour through Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, along with dates in Auckland and Wellington, marking their first ever visit to New Zealand.

Easily one of the most respected bands in heavy music, their pioneering sound played a huge role in spawning countless post metal bands across the globe, while their atmospheric builds and rhythmic prowess has been referenced and adopted by artists in more than a few diverse corners of the heavy world.

The album – the band’s eleventh – showcased some of the best, and most unique elements cherrypicked from across their lengthy career. They have an incredible ability to inject a dynamic scope of emotion, equal parts aggressive and meditative throughout; it’s unsurprising that they’re still so influential to this day.

It’s absolutely incredible that the Oakland band have been around for three decades, and continue to deliver music with the same fervour, ferocity and sheer power as ever. There truly aren’t many that kick it as hard as Neurosis, on record and on stage. Their live shows are legendary in their own rights, and we’re so excited for their highly anticipated return.

Ahead of the tour, support acts have been announced, with Dispossessed joining the group on all Australian dates, and Spook The Horses and Old Loaves warming the stage in New Zealand.
