Chance the Rapper Bought Scalped Tix, Resold at Normal Price

Chance the Rapper continues to be the most charming man in hip-hop. The last couple weeks have seen a flurry of Beyoncé-related headlines, what with over his adorable reaction to Bey crashing his VMAs interview, singing her Happy Birthday at a festival, and dancing at her 70s-themed birthday party. Now, though, it’s all about the fans.

After tickets to Chance’s Magnificent Coloring Day! music festival sold out almost immediately, Chance was quick to respond to fans who had missed out on tickets. After noting that he wanted fans to buy tickets at their regular prices, not through scalpers, he then announced that his team had purchased back the scalped spots and were reselling through his official website.

SO many artists have been working hard to combat the perilous world of ticket scalping, but few go so far as to actually snag the tickets back for the fans. This is pretty incredible.

The Magnificent Colouring Day! Festival kicks off on Saturday September 24, at the US Cellular Field in Chicago. Performers include Alicia Keys, Lil Wayne, Skrillex, John Legend, Tyler, The Creator and Young Thug.

Chance will also be visiting Australia to play at a few festivals throughout the New Years period. Currently, he has been announced to headline Perth’s Origin NYE, Beyond The Valley, and Field Day, but fingers are crossed for headline tour dates, too.
