Top Dawg President Says TDE Tour Is Happening

Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) have been on a roll lately, embarking on a complete takeover of all-things hip-hop. With Kendrick Lamar at the helm, a new release about to drop from ScHoolboy Q, and rumoured music on its way from Ab-Soul, Isaiah RashadSZA and newcomer Lance Skiiiwalker, it comes as no surprise that the world follows their eery move with baited breath.

After updating fans with information from Isaiah Rashad, ScHoolboy Q and SZA’s projects a month ago, label founder and president Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith recently dropped even more information about the collective’s future plans.

After announcing he’s got “something special” which should get announced next week, fans began to ask him what his intentions are. One fan managed to hit the jackpot, asking whether we might be getting an all TDE tour. Tiffith’s reply?

If the tour plans to feature TDE’s entire roster, fans could end up seeing performances from recent signee Lance Skiiwalker along with label co-president/artist Punch, and not to mention supergroup Black Hippy (Lamar, ScHoolboy, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock) who Tiffith is trying to link up once more, according to Instagram. This might be a tad far-fetched though, as just last week ScHoolboy Q said that there’s almost no chance of a second Black Hippy album.

All in all this has sent TDE fans wild, and it’s going to be a hectic few weeks as the label rolls out these new releases and extra news tidbits. If there is indeed a TDE tour, it’s really unlikely that it’ll come to Australia, so start saving for those flights!

This isn’t the first collective TDE live performance. Late last year, TDE help its section annual Holiday Concert, a free event which saw performances from Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolBoy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, SZA and Isaiah Rashad, along with guest spots from Big Sean, Ty Dolla $ign and more. The event was open to the public and focused on “providing the Watts community with the gift of the holiday spirit through toys, shoes, food and much more.”
