ScHoolBoy Q’s Album Release Date Has Been Revealed

Top Dawg Entertainment’s ScHoolBoy Q has finally announced the release date for his long-awaited new album – the eighth of July, just over a month from now.

The release marks the follow-up to 2014’s phenomenal Oxymoron, his third album overall and first on a major label. Earlier this week, TDE’s Anthony “Top Dawg”  Tiffith announced that the album would be out before summer, and with these new tweets, I’m stoked that his confirmation fell pretty close to the mark.

2016 is proving to be the best year in recent memory for hip-hop – and certainly for TDE, with Kendrick Lamar‘s untitled unmastered surprise dropping back in March, new songs from soulful new signee Lance Skiiiwalker, and recent promises of imminent new albums from both Isaiah Rashad and SZA.

ScHoolBoy Q has recently released two tracks set to feature on the album. Listen to THat Part featuring Kanye West:

Now, keep in mind that release dates don’t always mean real things these days. It’s equally likely that we’ll see the release a couple days, if not weeks ahead of July 8. We’ll keep you posted on new details as they unfold.
