While many people, like me, are forced to eat cheese toasties for dinner after losing too much of their weekly pay-check on betting on Steph Curry and the Warriors to take game 7 of the NBA finals, (like 20-50 bucks), French Montana on the other hand is sitting pretty upon his throne $60,000 richer.
Montana won the money through a bet with Drake, and took to Snapchat to brag about his winning “Shout-out to my brother Drizzy Drake for that 60 bands, ‘cuz you ain’t believe in LeBron.”
LeBron led the Cleveland Cavaliers to the NBA championship, coming back from being down two wins, to win 4-3 over the Warriors. A lot of people, myself included, thought he couldn’t do it, but I think LeBron’s fuel is hate and doubt because he is constantly proving me wrong.
As an avid Toronto Raptors fans, I would almost bet Drake harbours a little hatred for LeBron as this is the second time he has beat him. The Raptors bowed out in the semi finals after a lost to Cleveland.
I doubt Drake will notice the financial lost, apart from the bruise to his ego, as he is worth $60 million.
Montana and Drake have been doing more than betting and watching the NBA together, the two have recently collaborated on the track No Shopping and have also been filming the video clip. The track will appear on Montana’s forthcoming album, MC4 due out in August.
