Melbourne’s Big Scary has just announced their first headline tour in three years, in support of their new album Animal, set for release on September 2.
The tour kicks off in Brisbane on September 30, and will not only feature the main duo Tom Iansek and Jo Syme, but saxophonist Gus Rigby and Christopher Port too. I’ve been lucky enough to catch Big Scary live three or four times over the years and can personally guarantee that these shows will leave you spellbound.
The news follows the release of their stunning new single Over Matter, which, along with 2015 single Organism, show off an interesting, mesmerising new sound for the duo.
The album will be Big Scary’s third, and is split into four distinct sections:
HUNTING – Oxygen, Organism, Double Darkness, Savior Add Vice
LURKING – Lone Bird, the Endless Story, Flutism, Up and Up and Up
RESTING – Breath Under Water, The Opposite of us, Heaven on Earth
WAKING – Over Matter, Lamina
