Banks and Steelz (RZA & Interpol’s Paul Banks) Drop Fresh New Track

RZA of Wu-Tang Clan, and Paul Banks of Interpol, have collided for a collaboration project called Banks and Steelz, with the superstar duo all set to release their first album as the duo titled Anything But Words, on August 26. Releasing some of the album’s details, and what to expect, the pair have announced that featured guests will include Florence Welch, Kool Keith, Method Man and Masta Killa to go along with Ghostface Killah from previously released Banks and Steelz single Love + War.

The pair also took the time to let loose a new slice of the upcoming album, the John Hill and Kid Harpoon-produced Giant. The sings finds an urgent RZA spitting bars between vocal offerings from the sublimely talented Paul Banks, who last released an album as the lead vocalist for Interpol in 2014 with El Pintor.

Take a listen to the latest track below, and keep your eyes peeled for further Banks and Steelz to come in the near future, as the duo’s album rapidly approaches its anticipated release date.

The pair also recently gave Rolling Stone an in-depth interview about their collaboration and history with one another’s music. In it, Banks talks about how he studied Wu-Tang heavily, while RZA speaks of Interpol, saying, “When I heard “The Scale,” that’s where I want to be as a musician… Interpol’s music, especially “The Scale,” it’s like if RZA had been born in the rock world, I would have.”
