Desiigner may have only been signed by G.O.O.D Music/Def Jam earlier this year, but he’s already killing it in the world of rap. With Panda taking the world by storm, it has had it’s fair share of freestyle covers and mashups. His name has quickly become a popular conversation starter, while his song has been sitting comfortably at number one on the charts for a few weeks now. To add to all of this, he has made his television debut on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, performing the hit that started it all.
If you couldn’t tell, he was pretty stoked about it.
He jumped and danced around so much, I’m surprised the cameras could keep up with him. He was full of heaps of energy and joy, but he could still get all the words of the song out without losing his breath. If this is his way of dealing with the excitement and pressure of performing to millions of people so early in his career, then he should stick with it.
Not only is his ability to translate all his energy into a spot on performance of the track, but it’s also super entertaining. There’s so much going on that there’s no time for dull moments. When he just stood still for a second towards the end, to soak in the moment and catch his breath, you could see exactly how much this performance meant to him.
As the boy from Brooklyn continues his career, we can’t wait to see where he ends up next. Check out some of his other tracks, including Moon People and Pluto, if you like what you see in the video below.
