Less than two weeks ago we wrote about Eminem‘s latest annotations on lyrics website Genius. Now, he’s added even more, and they’re some of his best to date.
While the recent annotations focused on songs from his latter-day albums, today’s come from some of his biggest, most important tracks, including Stan, Criminal, The Real Slim Shady and The Way I Am. Huge!
They’re wickedly funny, an amazing reminder of how hilarious Eminem is as a person as well as a rapper. I couldn’t decide which were my favourite, so I’m going to share them all here:
These annotations are wonderful. His lyrics are revealing enough, so to see an even deeper explanation like this is incredible.

Well I’m happy that was cleared up for us all.
Wow, wow, wow. To hear a story like this about one of the most important songs of the past couple decades, certainly the most important song for Eminem’s career at that point, is brilliant. Imagine what that original take would’ve sounded like! There’s a lesson to be learnt here, for sure.
