Rihanna Goes In For The Kill With “Needed Me” Video

Nothing quite beats the feeling of waking up to a new Rihanna video, and again we had the wonderful joy of experiencing that today. Dropping online over night for us Southern Hemisphere folks, Bad Gal RiRi treated her millions of fans to a 4/20 treat in the form of a brand new video for her powerful song, Needed Me, and – as expected – powerful songs need powerful videos. That’s exactly what we’ve got here.

This is the fourth video from Rihanna this year, following on from two videos for her chart-topping Work, and latest single Kiss It Better. Teaming up with the highly esteemed and critically acclaimed Harmony Korine, Rihanna’s seductive violence is once again on show here. In the same vein as Bitch Better Have My Money (though not quite as extreme), we see Rihanna take a situation into her own hands, showing up at a strip club – and shooting a dude in the face a few times. This is interspersed with some absolutely stunning scenes of her wistfully staring into the distance on the patio of her waterside mansion, wearing a see-through and basically just owning life.

The song is an unofficial feminist anthem of 2016, so it is only right that it gets such a perfect visual accompaniment. Check the clip out for yourself below, as well as our extensive review on her latest album, ANTI.
