As if 2016 couldn’t get any worse, the one and only Purple Highness Prince has died over night. He was found unresponsive at his Paisley Park Estate in Chanhassen, Minnesosta, and was pronounced dead not long after. Not much else has been said right now, but the music world’s mourning is already palpable. Having already lost David Bowie, Lemmy, The Eagles‘ Glenn Frey and Maurice White from Earth, Wind and Fire (not to mention Alan Rickman), this is too much for some of us.
Prince was just in the country for his A Piano & A Microphone Tour, and has been touring the US with the same show over the past few months. The music world has once again erupted in grief, with the elite sharing messages of their own personal tributes to The Purple One. We will update this as more news comes out. The world has lost a lot of its magic today.
Long Live The King.
