After the hell she has been through with her court case against her alleged sexual abuser Dr. Luke, some time to let it all out on stage is exactly what Kesha needed.
Thanks to Zedd, she got her chance.
Zedd was performing at Coachella on Saturday when he invited Kesha to sing True Colours, the title track from last year’s album. He had previously told her via Twitter that he’ll be “happy to produce a song for [her]”, joining many other celebrities and loyal fans who reached out to offer support.
@KeshaRose very very sorry to hear about the whole situation. I'll be happy to produce a song for you if you want my help.

There has also been a huge amount of pressure for Sony to drop Dr. Luke from the label. Kesha has stated that she’s very grateful for all the kind words.
Coachella-goers were overjoyed with Kesha’s powerful performance, posting the evidence and positive comments on social media. Her voice was in great shape, soaring above the excited crowd. It’s great to see she still has that fiery passion inside her.

Kesha’s case against Dr. Luke has recently been thrown out by the court. Supreme Court Justice Shirley Werner Kornreich explained her actions:
“Although [Dr. Luke’s] alleged actions were directed to Kesha, who is female, [her claims] do no allege that [Luke] harboured animus toward women or was motivated by gender animus when he allegedly behaved violently toward Kesha.
Every rape is not a gender-motivated hate crime.”
Kesha seems to be remaining strong, as this performance symbolises. This comes after she surprised everyone with a show in Nashville at the end of last year.
