James Blake has released another new song, once again premiered during his BBC Radio 1 residency show.
It’s been nearly a full year since he announced that his new album would be titled Radio Silence, and he now claims that the album is finished. Broadcasting from LA, he revealed, “I was here finishing off a few things. I did this thing I’m gonna put out at some point.”
The track follows on from “Modern Soul,” released last year. it’s delicate and stunning and I absolutely adore it.
During the radio show, he also revealed that the album is set to feature eighteen tracks, one of which is a whopping 24 minutes long.
Considering Blake has been booked for a number of major festivals this year, it’s no surprise to hear that new music is on its way – but now we’re just growing more and more impatient each day.
James Blake will be heading down under to perform at Splendour in the Grass, alongside The Strokes, The Cure, The Avalanches, Flume and a tonne more – full details here.
