Halsey Glistened While Performing At The MTV Movie Awards

It’s no secret that Halsey is an incredible performer. I saw it first-hand when she visited Australia for Falls Festival and rocked the Metro’s stage. Her outgoing personality erupts as she gets the audience involved, connecting with them on a personal level.

I can only imagine what the atmosphere at the MTV Movie Awards was like during her performance of Castle.

The dark-sounding single is featured in the film The Huntsman: Winter’s War. She was welcomed onto the stage by the film’s stars Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth and Jessica Chastain.

She shone in a beautifully bedazzled bodysuit and walked across the stage with dominance. She matched the musicians behind her, who were also dressed in white, coming together to remind us that winter is just around the corner.

She sang “I’m headed straight for the castle/ They’re gonna make me their queen” in a perfect pitch as snow fell from the sky. The storyline of the song seems like it was made for the movie with its dark fairytale theme and powerful attitude.

That wasn’t the music industry’s only victory on the night. Among the winners were Straight Outta Compton, which won for Best True Story, and Amy for Best Documentary.

Halsey previously showed her love for Justin Bieber’s Love Yourself, performing a cover that’s even more stripped-back than the original on Triple J’s Like A Version. The piano medley and her throaty tone created a nice rendition of the popular hit.
