UK four-piece Glass Animals have announced a short three date Australian tour. Kicking off only weeks away, the first show takes place on July 6 in Melbourne, before visiting Brisbane and Sydney on the following two days.
Glass Animals have visited Australia a couple times over the past two years, and have subsequently built a huge fanbase across the country. Their smooth tunes blend a seductive trip-hop sound with understated indie, and makes for one hell of a live show – you can check out our review of them last year here.
As for whether the tour may include new music or not, only time will tell. The band have been fairly quiet since the release of their debut album ZABA nearly two full years ago, but last year they dropped an incredible collaborative track with Joey Bada$$.
Drummer Joe Seaward writes this message for Australian fans:
“HELLO TEAM. its us. stuff is happening. we are excited. specifically right now, because we can announce we are coming back to Australia. AWESOME NEWS! we will be playing 3 shows (as far as i know), one each in SYDNEY, MELBOURNE and BRISBANE this July. all the details are on our website, here. Drew has his sun-lotion, board shorts, shark alarm and armbands packed already. so pretty much set i think. Here is a photo from last time we were in Australia. Drew had just lost two rounds of strip poker on the beach in a row, this is him storming off”
Tickets go on sale on Monday April 25, so make sure to take a minute out of your Anzac Day two-up-ing to get ready for them peanut butter vibes.
