Delta Riggs Cover Tame Impala’s “Let It Happen”

Gold Coast boys The Delta Riggs took on Tame Impala‘s song of the year winning, 8 minute epic Let it Happen at the APRA awards- and did a pretty damn good job.

No one can out-psychadelic Tame Impala so it would be cool to see them re-thinking the song from a Delta Riggs point of view and putting their spin on it, complete with Brit-pop style hair and the tightest of jeans. The band performed in the midst of an awesome line up of Aussie acts covering Aussie acts including San Cisco doing Courtney Barnett, The Living End doing Cold Chisel and Gang of Youths doing Jarryd James with Montaigne.

No strangers to putting their spin on others’ songs, The Delta Riggs also covered Glass Animal‘s Gooey for Like A Version a couple of years ago and it is definitely worth a listen.

So many peanut butter vibes.

If you’re itching to see them live, they’re playing Shipwrecked Festival alongside Shannon Noll on the 9th of April in Perth and the Big Pineapple Festival in Nambour on the 28th of May.
