Sad news: Vic Mensa has had to cancel his upcoming Australian tour, which included performing at roving regional festival Groovin The Moo and a series of headline sideshows.
At this point no further details have been given about the reason for the cancellation. Groovin The Moo posted to Facebook that both Mensa and US band Mutemath have both had to pull out. They have been replaced by local artists Jarryd James and What So Not.
The news comes only three weeks before the rapper was meant to touch down in Australia, his first visit since performing at Laneway Festival 2015.
We expect that refund details and so on will be announced for his headline sets, which were scheduled to take place in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth between April 22 – May 5.
Vic Mensa’s now-cancelled dates were as follows:
Friday April 22: Max Watts, Sydney
Thursday April 28: The Prince, Melbourne
Tuesday May 3: The Met, Brisbane
Thursday May 5: Villa Nightclub, Perth
