Snoop Dogg will be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame, becoming the first musician to ever join other non-wrestling celebrities such as Mike Tyson, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Donald Trump in earning the big honour.
Snoop has featured prominently in the organisations history, appearing as the MC for something called a “Lumberjill” match at WrestleMania XXIV, as well as guest-hosting Raw in 2009 and on one occasion even teaming up with Hulk Hogan to toss Curtis Axel out of the ring.
It’s perhaps not overly surprising that Snoop has had such a vested interest in the world of wrestling, considering that his cousin, Sasha Banks, is a prominent wrestler and will be competing for the Diva’s Championship belt next WrestleMania, the night after the rapper will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
The news about Snoop’s induction into the hall of fame was broken on the Ross Report, a podcast hosted by wrestling announcer Jim Ross, who later tweeted about the news.
As reported first on Ross Report, @SnoopDogg headed to the @WWE HOF! The celeb wing is smokin'!
Congrats, Snoop!

The 2016 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas on April 2, where Snoop Dogg will be inducted alongside popular wrestlers such as Sting and the Fabolous Freebirds. If you’re a fan of wrestling, this will definitely be an event which you don’t want to miss.
