Kendrick Says “Lil Wayne Is The Greatest”

It’s a pretty big deal to be called “the greatest” by possibly the biggest rapper in the world right now. A pretty big deal for most people anyway. This is a guy who can drop a surprise Untitled Unmastered album that debuts at number 1 on the Billboard 200 just under a year after he dropped his sophomore album To Pimp A Butterfly, which earned him 11 Grammy nominations and 5 wins. King Kendrick Lamar is a proud and outspoken performer and a lyricist who is not afraid to speak the truth. He is changing the game and doing so without overkill album launches and endless Twitter rants.

In a new interview with The Coveteur, Kendrick discussed his fashion influences and things that inspire him which included New Orleans rapper, Lil Wayne.

Kendrick says “we was just huge, still to this day, huge Lil Wayne fans. Lil Wayne is the greatest. Not only because of his music but also because of the culture he puts behind it. It was a big part of what he was talking about, so we always hold Lil Wayne in high regards.” He continues “To be a part of it the same way he was a part of it years later is just a great feeling.”

As a closet Lil Wayne fan I am nodding enthusiastically in agreement.

Weezy F know he dat.
