Yesterday saw the announcement of the ridiculous Vivid Sydney lineup, which included musical guests like Bjork, Bon Iver, New Order, and Deafheaven. Many of these artists will be exclusively performing in Sydney for the event, but some, Deafheaven included, are delighting fans with news of a full national tour.
One of the most important, not to mention simply fucking excellent heavy acts to emerge from US across the past five years, the band have delivered three incredibly powerful, intricate albums, and are yet to make a single false step. Last year saw them release the phenomenal New Bermuda to critical acclaim, and now, fans will have the chance to catch it on stage – and trust me when I say, even if you aren’t typically a fan of heavier music, this will be phenomenal.
