To state the bleeding obvious, Howl & Echoes is made up of music lovers first and foremost, and music writers in a very close second. We love music so much we feel a physical, spiritual need to share our opinions with many strangers via our beloved internet. So, the fact that Brisbane is about to hold a festival just for rock & roll writers – well that has us absolutely over the moon!
Featuring 40 writers on numerous panels, A Rock & Roll Writers Festival is shaping up to be an enriching, educational, and really, really fun two days for some of the industry’s most respected critics, song writers and everything in between, as well as some of the fresh young bloods just starting out. With the likes of Don Walker from Cold Chisel, Deborah Conway, Jake Stone of Bluejuice, Jess Riberio, Noel Mengel, Andrew Stafford and many more, the two-day festival will showcase and highlight “the power and the passion of music, writing and reading.”
