Colours might not be a duo you’re familiar with yet, but with the news that a debut album is on the way – and the release of yet another exceptional electronic track – that is probably about to change.
Hailing from Florida, the guys have been bunkered down in the studio with producer Shane Lopez, who has previously worked with Deftones and Lupe Fiasco, so it’s safe to say they’re in pretty good hands. The end result is Ivory, an 11-track record of dark electronica with smoky RnB vibes, and their latest single is one of their best.
Monster features a gorgeous falsetto and big, thumping beats. It’s got sharp synths, an infectious hook and hard hitting drums; in other words, the key ingredients for a great track. And it doesn’t stop there either. The boys have also managed to release some beautiful visuals as well for the track’s video. Incredibly filmed, with a surprise twist at the end, the clip is just as stunning as the track.
Ivory is set for release next Friday, February 26 via Victory Records. If this is anything at all to go by, it’s looking to be a seriously impressive release.
