DonMonique And Slayter Drop Visuals For Chrome Heater

Last July, DonMonique dropped her Thirst Trap EP and the buzz has steadily grown since then. Her seductive gangster bars are enough to make anyone weak at the knees and want to crank the radio up, and she knows it. So it’s no wonder Slayter wanted her on his recent track, Chrome Heater.

Over the weekend, the Thelonious Martin-produced track got a visual makeover, directed/edited by Hidji Films. In the clip, Slayter goes hard on his bars in different locations in New York City, including a train and on top of a building, all while wearing his Yankee’s cap, of course. DonMonique jumps in on the second verse, spitting her signature hard bodied raps while … naked? Or, at least, partially naked.

The track isn’t as bass-heavy as the last song the two collaborated on with Danny Brown, Tha Low, but it is still heavy enough to rattle any trunk.

Slayter is starting to make a name for himself with his traditional New York City rhyme style, with standout tracks like Krazy, Night I Can’t Remember, and Mobb Deep. He is currently preparing the release of his forthcoming EP Dirty Game which will be released February 9th and will feature the track Chrome Heater. The six track project will be completely produced by Thelonious Martin.

As for DonMonique, she is bringing New York back. In an interview with XXL the young MC said: “I didn’t have that motivation in music until people said, ‘You’re bringing New York back.’” Damn right, she is!
