Kendrick Lamar Debuts ‘Untitled 2′ On Fallon

Kendrick Lamar is back at it again, choosing a talk show as the platform to unveil a completely new song titled Untitled 2.

For those that remember, several days after dropping his now iconic album To Pimp A Butterfly, Kendrick pulled a similar stunt. Appearing on The Colbert Report he decided to go the route of performing a song that wasn’t on the album he was promoting and surprised everyone by dropping Untitled, much to the collective shit losing of the internet.

On Thursday night’s episode of The Tonight Show, Kendrick Lamar decided to make lightning strike twice, choosing to once again play a completely new song on a talk-show, this time performing Untitled 2, which could well be better than Untitled

As well as continuing to promote To Pimp A Butterfly, Kendrick Lamar and Jimmy Fallon also discussed the rapper’s Grammy nominations, how he blows off steam (by rapping), Mario Kart and the music samples he used on his album (records his parents played when he was growing up).

The Compton rapper is currently sitting on 11 Grammy nominations which is just one nomination away from drawing with Michael Jackson’s 12, for highest number of nominations in a single night.

To Pimp A Butterfly which was originally meant to be titled Tu Pimp A Caterpiller as a nod to Tupac Shakur reached the number one spot on the Billboard 200 album sales chart and to date has sold over 750,000 copies in the U.S alone as well as setting the record on Spotify for global first-day streaming with the album being streamed 9.6 million times on its first day. Australian fans will finally get the chance to see the album performed as he gets ready to make his return Down Under this March. See those dates below:
